Major General Md Abu Bakar Siddique Khan, ndc, afwc, psc, G+

Major General Md Abu Bakar Siddique Khan, ndc, afwc, psc, G+ was born on 23 November 1971. He was commissioned in the Corps of Artillery on 20 Dec 1991 with 25th Bangladesh Military Academy Long Course. Major General Siddique served in number of Air Defence Artillery Regiments in various regimental appointments, commanded two Air Defence Artillery Regiments and one Border Guard Battalion. He served as Brigade Major in Air Defence Artillery Brigade, Instructor Gunnery in School of Artillery, Platoon and Term Commander in Bangladesh Military Academy. He has also served as Instructor Class A (Directing Staff) and Senior Instructor Army in Defence Services Command and Staff College. He performed as Instructor (Directing Staff Army) in the Armed Forces War Course Wing of National Defence College. He also worked as Commander of Air Defence Artillery Brigade. He participated in United Nations Missions in East Timor (UNTAET) as Military Observer and in Ivory Coast (ONUCI) as Sector Staff Officer Operations. He also took part in Multinational Joint Exercise in Kuwait. Recently he worked as Director General in Sena Kalyan Sangstha. Major General Siddique graduated from Bangladesh Military Academy achieving Osmani Gold Medal and Qudrat-e-Khuda Gold Medal for best academic performance. He is also a graduate of Defence Services Command and Staff College and National Defence College, Bangladesh. He attended number of courses both at home and abroad. He participated in Fire Control System Operations Course, International Symposium Course and Brigade Command Course in China. He also attended Long Gunnery Staff Course in India. He completed Master of Defence Studies (MDS), Master of Science (MSc) and MPhil (Part-1) from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). Presently he is serving as Director General of Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS).
