Dr A T Salahuddin Ahmed, Senior Research Fellow, BIISS, participated in an international Symposium on Water Security: China and the World, jointly sponsored by China Institute for International Strategic Studies (CIISS), Beijing, and Michael Eric Bosman Hotung Foundation (MHF), Hong Kong, on 25-26 May 2009, in Beijing Hotel, Beijing, China. In the Symposium, Dr Ahmed made a presentation on Reflecting on International Co-operation on Water Security. The Symposium's key aims were to discuss issues entailing water security situation and its impact, water security strategy, and international co-operation on water security. The Symposium was also attended by participants from India, France, Germany, South Korea, the Netherlands, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.
