Ambassador Munshi Faiz Ahmad

Ambassador Munshi Faiz Ahmad served as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) from 3 March 2013 to 2 March 2019.  A seasoned diplomat, he has represented Bangladesh in several high-profile postings, including as Ambassador to China, and High Commissioner to Singapore. He steered the institute to initiate dialogues on matters such as Bangladesh-China relations, sustainable development, regional cooperation, and non-traditional security issues.  Under his leadership, BIISS enhanced its role in guiding thoughtful foreign policy discourse in Bangladesh while expanding outreach among scholars, policymakers, and diplomatic communities.
