Biography
Major General Md Jubayer Salehin, BSP, SUP, ndu, psc is a senior officer of the Bangladesh Army with extensive experience in command, staff, and instructional roles. He was commissioned in the Corps of Engineers on 23 December 1988 through the 19th Bangladesh Military Academy Long Course. An alumnus of the Defence Services Command & Staff College and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Civil Engineering), he has also completed master’s degrees in Business Administration and Defense Studies, and in National Security Strategy from the National Defence University, USA.
Throughout his career, Major General Salehin has commanded an Engineer Construction Brigade, an Infantry Brigade, and the 17th Infantry Division. He also served as Commandant of the Defence Services Command & Staff College and later as Engineer‑in‑Chief and Adjutant General at Army Headquarters. On 1 June 2025, he joined the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) as Director General, leading strategic research and policy initiatives.
