Abstract

Together with Professor Imtiaz Ahmed, the editor of this book “Imagining Post-COVID Education Futures,” this book was taken to create a conversation around access, quality, time, place, space, and conceptualisation of post-COVID education futures. The volume is a nudging provocation for readers to reflect, deconstruct and reconstruct in the multiverse playground of educational futures. While the playground to write within is very open, the 11 Chapters in this volume cover a range of dimensions. This includes the futures of learning spaces, play, blended education, storytelling, educational technology, educational skills, narratives around parent engagement, cross-border education, education for sustainability, Anthropocene education, educational epistemology, and so on. International educationists and experts from Australia, Bangladesh, China, Germany, India, Malaysia, Nigeria, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States have written chapters for this volume. Despite being exposed to various sources of knowledge, the authors take recourse to ‘imagination’ and bring alternative perspectives to the futures of education. Under the partnership between the Centre for Genocide Studies, University of Dhaka and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Bangladesh, this book has been published by Nymphea Publication.
