Director General of BIISS Participated in the Second Global South Think Tanks Dialogue at Beijing, People's Republic of China on November 2024

The Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) actively contributed to the Second Global South Think Tanks Dialogue by sharing Bangladesh’s perspectives on promoting peace, inclusive development, and South-South cooperation. Through its presentation and engagement in thematic discussions, BIISS emphasized the importance of collective resilience, knowledge sharing, and policy coordination among developing nations. The institute also played a constructive role in formulating the framework of the Global South Think Tanks Alliance, offering insights on enhancing research collaboration and mutual understanding. BIISS’s participation reflected Bangladesh’s enduring commitment to global equity, openness, and partnership within the Global South. Our Respected Director General, Major General Iftekhar Anis, BSP, awc, afwc, psc, PEng, was heading the delegation of Bangladesh and also leading the global delegation on behalf of all the global south countries that joined the esteemed forum.
