The Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) Delhi Office organized the 2nd KIEP Visiting Scholars Workshop on 22 November, 2024, inviting scholars from South Asian countries— Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Nepal. This workshop provided a platform to discuss the economic situation in these countries, their unique challenges, and emerging business opportunities. It aimed also strengthen the economic relationship between Korea and South Asia countries. The focus of the workshop was to explore and understand the economic dynamics of South Asia and to evaluate potential areas for cooperation with Korea. The primary objective of this workshop was to engage with scholars from the region to foster deeper understanding and to identify opportunities for enhanced economic cooperation. The outcomes of the discussions will help inform KIEP’s future research and policy recommendations for Korea’s engagement with South Asia.
