Seminar on Bangladesh towards ASEAN

Mr M Ashique Rahman, Senior Research Fellow attended as a panellist in an Academic Seminar on Bangladesh towards ASEAN: A Room with a View jointly organised by Bangladesh Embassy in Bangkok in collaboration with the Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok on Tuesday, 18 March 2025 at Chumbhot-Pantip Conference Room of Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. Mr Rahman was one of the discussants on the Keynote speech delivered in the Seminar. The seminar aimed to examine the possibilities for further strengthening Bangladesh-ASEAN ties and to identify critical issues that need to be addressed for fostering such ties. Thailand, being a close neighbour and a founding member of ASEAN, provided an ideal platform to deliberate on these issues together with academics and experts from both sides. With Chulalongkorn University as the venue, the seminar attracted the appropriate level of attention and engagement for both government and non-government stakeholders based in Bangkok.
