The overview offers insights. First, socialist parties must adapt to changing socio-economic realities without abandoning core values. Second, policies should focus on inclusive growth, welfare, and equity. Third, democratic socialism offers a middle ground between authoritarianism and unfettered capitalism. Fourth, global cooperation among progressive movements can counterbalance neoliberal dominance. Fifth, case-specific adaptations are crucial, as socialism cannot be transplanted wholesale. The overview emphasizes that socialism’s resilience lies in its ability to reinvent itself, making it relevant for modern governance challenges.

Abstract
This monograph investigates the transformations of socialism in the post-Cold War era. It explores ideological shifts, policy adaptations, and new forms of socialist governance across the world. The study highlights cases from Eastern Europe, Latin America, and Asia, assessing how socialist movements have responded to globalization, neoliberalism, and democratic pressures. It discusses the balance between state control and market reforms, as well as the persistence of socialist ideals in addressing inequality. The report concludes that socialism has not disappeared but evolved into diverse hybrid forms, influencing contemporary political and economic debates.
