How can one theori ze the foreign policy of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from the perspective of International Relations? Thus, investigating Bangabandhu 's foreign poli cy and diplomatic practices are two major focuses of this paper. It argues that theorizing Bangabandhu's foreign poli cy becomes crucial as belter theorizing translates into better practices. The paper shows that Bangabandhu pursued an 'enlightened approach' to foreign policy that was nor confined to the interest of Bangladesh but the interest of the developing world, the interest of the humanity at large.
